We take a quick departure from the forthcoming maelstrom that is the Frankfurt Motor Show to present a pretty cool concept study in the minds of some very impressionable designers from Italy.

The concept is called Ferrari EGO - note that EGO means "Emotional Generation One ', rather than an act of self-importance - Ferrari design study is currently projected as a lightweight, compact super car, ready to hit the streets in 2025.

As is the case with most of the futuristic concepts of the nature of this design, Ferrari EGO comes with all the features expected out of this world the study design, including jet-style cockpit, aluminum tubular chassis, front wings and air intakes, rear spoiler, many parts of the carbon fiber is wound around the windscreen and set of LED rear lights.

Not much is known about what the designers provide transmission for this car, but they argue that the concept of inspiration comes from both P3 Ferrari and Ferrari P4 / 5.

Hats off to drain for study design, including the Institute d'Arte Applicata e Design [IAAD] Torino Alumni Salvatore Simonetti, Massimiliano Petrachi and Vincenzo Morlino and a graduate of Politecnico di Milano Luca Zunino.

We understand that these kinds of studies more imagination than anything else, but what they do, it will shed much needed light on that future designers of industry can be.

2011 Aston Martin V12 Zagato Racer

We have not even bothered to digest the full range of Aston Martin V12 Zagato, and we get a close look at race spec version of the new supercar Aston. Or at least something like that.

In preparation for the race car will debut at the Nurburgring this weekend, Aston Martin has given the public seeking first-hand look at the race spec version of the V12 Zagato. It may be just the provision of a car, but at least it gives us an idea of ​​what to expect when the car officially debut next makes his May 28, 2011 at the 53rd ADAC ACAS H & R-Cup VLN race.

Judging by the rendering race spec V12 Zagato looks very much like the street version with several well-known add-ons, including prominent rear wing, front lip and desktop black wheels.

That's as much as Aston is ready to share at this time. But at least it will not wait that long before we see race spec version in the flesh. Good timing too, considering that the 24-hour Nürburgring is scheduled for June 25 and 26, 2011, and Aston Martin will be fielding two V12 Zagatos in the annual endurance race.

UPDATE 05/31/2011: This past weekend V12 Zagato racer completed his first work under race conditions in the 53rd ADAC ACAS H & R-Cup VLN race at the Nurburgring. Naturally, the car ran into some minor problems, but data from the race will be used to adjust the car just before the 24-hour race next month, when two V12 Zagatos will compete. UPDATE 06/22/2011: Aston Martin will enter 24 in the Nurburgring this weekend with two hours of racing V12 Racers Zagato. The first race car number 3, nicknamed "Zag" (red), which will be piloted by Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez. The second racer green V12 Zagato (nicknamed the "Zig") - car number 5 for the race - which was prepared by a small team based at the headquarters of the Aston Martin in Gaydon, Warwickshire. UPDATE 07/14/2011: Aston Martin unveiled a new official video in which they reveal two V12 Zagato riders in the race Nurburgring 24hr. Check the two cars as they participate in the grueling tale test of endurance, technique, and driver skill. Enjoy!
